If Ban Leong and Asus have tested the MB and determined it to be fine, then you will need evidence to prove that it is defective e.g. video recording.

Personally, I think it is too much hassle. Just sell the CPU and MB (highlighting the issue to potential buyers) and switch to Ryzen 3000. :)
