I also think like that. High intelligence (or rather the aura of being intellectually capable) is usually a good signal to others that one is equally capable at work in sch etc and thus will be more attractive.

Whether this can override lack of physical attractiveness idk...

my office have a unker i think in late 40s, everyday talk till salivate spraying all over abt his view on world politics whenever he have opportunity and he is a self professing a pillar intellect in sg society.

well he always tell me there are colleague especially young girls being wow by his intellectual powess and he believe they are being helplessly attracted to him.

the cold harsh reality is he put off ppl, male and female, young and old. in fact i think i'm the only person in the office who is willing to go lunch with him or entertain him.
