lets not talk about brand new ones, maybe one that is used for quite awhile.. like lets say dismantle to clean ur pc.

The hassle of re-installing the fan is a pain in the ass for me always.. except when its new.

Sometimes really need use alot of force to get it in place, like really. Follow the steps everything it doesn't work, it doesn't glide smoothly and lock.

I might as well prefer non toolfree installation.

yes, its difficult to confirm if seated properly. i look at the bottom to see if the pins are level but u can never be 100% sure till u see the temps. aftermarket coolers are so much easier, especially those AIO.

I only had problems mounting CM Seidon 120v. others were easy.

The push pins are easy to push in, but dif to confirm if they are locked in. I had an experience where I locked all 4, but somehow it wasn't sitting properly.

i agree, those plastic pins break easy

this should help you

after you turn anti clock wise, put your finger under the plastic legs and pull up, that will release the leg from its mounting hole do that for all 4 legs and your CPU cooler should be free, sometimes it might get stuck and you might need to use some force to remove.

the stock cooler cannot be re-used alot of times(2-3 times at most), sooner or later the plastic legs will start to bent or split apart

User problem. I've reseated my Ivy stock heatsink for at least 10 times now and the pins are still in good condition.
