Do U feel u can play professional soccer when u watch Sleague matches?

Went to some sleague matches and often overhead people (ah peks, uncles, teens) telling their friends that the standards is so low until they feel that they themselves can also play professional soccer.

some old ah peks in yesterday's home united balestier match said they can go play GK also. std not so high.

when we watch BPL matches, we feel that we won't even last ten minutes on the field.

but in sleague, we feel we can last at least 1 half.

even some foreigners (like Jordan Webb's friends who were at the match) commented that the std is low until if they go down to play, they can thrash the other team.

I don't play often, but I think why a lot of people felt this way is because they have been accustomed to the standards set by the popular leagues (BPL, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, etc.). When they move back to watching S League football, it feels like kampung football.. slow, un-innovative, boring.. when in actual fact, they are no different than the one playing on the field.

Another thing is that it's always easier to pass comments as someone who is watching. This is irregardless of where the matches are from.. I bet some of us pass on similar comments even for those popular leagues.

Then again, it's just part and parcel of being a supporter
