Can't. SG no resources, too small. Myanmar junta can hell the world and they will survive with drugs, jade, timber, sand, etc trade.

More like PAP dissect what's good from British system (which is to their advantage for rulers) and what's good from Chinese system (which is also to their advantage for ruler), but double whammy bad for Singaporean voters.
