You are not allowed to use application inlet connector (e.g. C6 and C14) with a mains plug on the other end either.

Simple reason being, you can see the metal pins on the C6 connector right? Can u touch the pin with your finger? Yes, right?

Connectors which are the source of power usually have sunken pins for safety reasons.
