I won't laugh at him. This is a guy who stood in parliament alone against the rest for so many years. I can understand the sense of dejection and frustration he must have felt in the GE2015. Tbh this GE they fielded decent candidates across all constituencies.

He might think due to LKY effect , SG 50 and just after NDP ..election does affect .the votes..

I don't foresee any successors. The best and the brightest will always choose to move overseas because they can.

I think very difficult to break thru with the current opposition. Really need someone famous from within the white party. Hopefully ppl like Tharman will breakaway and bring with him a group of white MPs who have more empathy for sinkies to lead an opposition like Anwar in Malaysia.

Becos all the current tools like 154th media are all against opposition. Very difficult situation the opposition is operating in. But if the opposition is an insider from white party, he may have a good relation with the 154th media and may cause the 154th media to be more balanced

I fear for LTK and his team in Aljuned, there might be a possibility of lighting sect initiating criminal proceeding against them on the AHPETC issue. They did not do it for the fact that they do not know how the ground will react, now that the dust has settled and winning by such a huge margin, they will see no reason to hold back, it will be weapons free, gloves are all off. Once they manage to convinced that the AHPETC team are guilty, many ways to skin a cat, they will be made to resign and sent to jail and it will be by election in Aljuned. No contest so a walkover. Aljuned auto becomes a PAP ward.
