With all the glaring LED streetlights and overly illuminated traffic lights, the amount of glare is really causing the roads to be actually not visible at night.

This was not the case where the street lights were still using the orange halogen bulbs.

Correction: I was not referring to the glares coming directly from the LED "bulb". Was referring to the overexposure in the near distance which causes the road further down ahead to be darker or less visible than it should be.

Referring to the area circled.

Finally someone shared the same views as me. The orange coloured bulbs were much brighter. Now on rainy nights you cant really see on the PIE.

LTA is the worst gov agency. With SimplyGo, ERP 2.0, COE, massive train breakdowns...

Maybe make an appointment with opthalmologist or eye doctor for astigmatism or cataract?

In general, the LED street lights should not be glaring. However some are. I wonder if specs are different for assorted parts of our roads..

Don’t find it so but is really hard to see nowadays is the street markings when the lights are on and not the road per se

My peeve is carparks, which are so dimly lit, if at all. Reversing, you can't see the markings at all. They need to start repainting using some florescent paint.

Some goons turn on their high beams and fogs light at night.

In response, I also high-beamed them and they stopped by my side staring at me. Obviously they didn’t know their high beam is on.

the new material they are using to surface the road is crap, it gets all reflective when wet
plus the new led street lamps is double whammy, reflect white light

Ts. You probably has astigmatism... All those light flaring are typical symptoms of astigmatism, getting a pair of prescriptive glasses will help but not completely illiminate. I knew because I have that too.

There's nothing wrong with the street lights.

Exactly. Singapore streets are super very lit. Better not complain.
SG street light so lit, ppl can actually forget to turn on their lights when driving

until they drive to a darker part then realise "eh why dark ah.... alamak i didn't turn on my lights! šŸ˜… "

Indeed. It happened to me. But it's good for safety that Singapore streets are well lit.
