Sorry to dig this thread.

Upon clearing JB customs, is it to drive up the ramp on the right, or take the left?

I know if take the right ramp, it would lead to the Shell station and car wash/ money exchange.

Iirc the left ramp is a short cut to permas jaya.

I usually take the right. Yes u will see shell on the left.

Thanks. And from there to hit towards NS highway?

Not yet. Once u see shell, u will see a ramp on the right. Stick to the left lane. Do not go up that ramp. So just stay in the left n drive till u see the traffic light. At the lights, turn right and it will lead u to terbrau hwy. This road will connect u to ns hwy. You will see signs directing u to KL. Follow them.

If u can, download Google offline maps. That one is quite accurate.

Have a safe drive n enjoy your trip.

Get on the EDL. "Lebuhraya EDL"

You will not encounter any petrol station. You will soon be on a flyover. Just head for "E2 Kuala Lumpur Melaka" after this to get onto the North-South Highway.

Thanks for this useful video.

Probably I will still take the other less direct route as would need to fill up petrol at Shell before embarking on the road trip to malacca.

Yes, use Google offline map. Good enough. Don't need to depend on data plan.

School holiday jam can be long and tiring so rest where you can. I don't eat rice at R&R stops wait I sleepy.
Use Grab better once reach hotel. More rest.
Car put in hotel carpark be careful because local car can bang door hard until got dent so try not park next to their car plates.
And R&R crowded no seat or your car park far far. Some R&R place close never announce - washing la reno la whatever la - terrible management
Other than that enjoy highway 140km/h :D

There is a Petronas at the rest point after the Skudai exit (Exit 254). At the 14km marker from the start of PLUS.

Friday + School Holiday + Hari Raya :D

If say I want to head to Melaka and don't want to come back on a Sunday, most probably will leave today so 3 nights will be return on Monday.

So Friday isn't a good time to head north either. :s22:

Used the 2nd Link instead because 1st Link too jammed.

Left Sengkang area at 9am, cleared 2nd Link around 10am, pretty fast I must say.

Everything was smooth to Melaka except for a minor interruption by MY TP
