Haha... ok la not too bad. I peek into the latest Crown Royal when I returned my Freed Hybrid at Sapporo. Its much better styled than the prev model liao. Its the JDM version of the Lexus GS300. Although suspension is tuned even softer for Japs folks.

For me, it has to be the Mark X only because that was the car I intended to buy (when I was shopping around for a new car/ just before I bought my present car), but I couldn't find one in stock (the PIs only seem to have the Mark X Zio in Feb 2008).

And I really want to see how much better/or worse it is compared to my own car :)

On that note, the Elgrand is definitely a more refined (quiet) stable and comfortable driving car than the Alphard, but loses out in flexibility of seat arrangement/headroom/walkability inside). But personally for MPVs in Singapore, I prefer the VW Sharan :) (then comes Ford S Max, then the Mazda 8....)
still waiting for COE to fall some more...

Of course if you're really counting your dollars and yen, tocoo seems to have one of the best prices around...

True. But do be advised that Tocoo and Kakuyau Rent a car are merely tour agencies of sorts. They're wholesalers for various rental car agencies in Hokkaido. Through special arrangements between the 2 parties, these wholesalers are able to offer much cheaper rates for the same car, same date, same location as compared to you approaching the actual car rental agencies yourselves.

However, when you've made your payment, you will still go to the respective car rental agency to pick up your car with the printed voucher. Any extras, optional charges, car model change etc will be handled directly between customer and the agency.

These wholesaler jobs are done as so to speak

FYI, Leco Prestige has brought in the 2013 Mark X :):) The price can kill though:eek::(... seems like they brought in the higher speced 250G 'Relaxed selection' There's 6 airbags, traction control, HID, DRL etc. Got a big hole for the HU, but don't worry, buy an original 2013 Mark X HU with Garmin GPS from China tabao URL. The Mark X is being sold in China and China uses the same FM band as we do. No more awful aftermarket HU in the hole

Thanks Cheefarn (this thread is turning into a "Driving Japanese Car Thread"

When I was looking at the Mark X, I only had 3 kids... now have 4, The old Mark X Zio is probably the more appropriate model... and back then I could have walked away with a Mark X for 95-100K... even 4-dr skyline was only around 100k... sigh...

And yes, the new model does stir me a little, but I have to be a little practical...
Although if money wasn't an option, I would be looking at either the Mercedes R300, Audi Q7 or LR Discovery 4... :)
