Driving in Kanchanaburi

Hi to all the experts.
Am planning a trip to Kanchanaburi soon 3d2n and wish to self drive as attractions are quite far apart.

Anyone has any idea on
1. Ease of car rental in Kanchanaburi? (cant find anything online - Hertz etc)
2. Cost/day
3. If its insured/ how safe is the car?

Will be taking a bus from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi and back so dont want to drive out from Bangkok + heard traffic is horrendous.

Not sure about rental within kan. Never really notice it.

Just drive to Kan from BKK. You're driving out, and not within BKK so it's alright. Only a little jam.

Normal sedan + insurance probably cost 50+-? petrol also not exactly cheap, think is 1+ SGD/litre? can't really recall. but still cheaper than SG.
