I believe the 飞 tile is only used in malaysia mahjong

I remember how to use is, it is a wild card for any combination, can 吃 can 碰. then if you ownself draw that tile you needed to 吃 or 碰, you can take back the 飞 and replace it with that same tile you drawn. f you want to win but not enough tai, you can expose the 飞 = 1 tai, but you cannot take back the 飞 tile again.

It's being played in sg mahjong as well.

Stakes are usually higher with capital starting from $500 to $1000.

A few of my mahjong cliques play fei + auto table. Majority still play without fei lah. Just that stakes are lower.
