emart in Tekong

Hi All,

just wondering (1) what are the items that we should bring for BMT (e.g. clothing detergents, mopiko, panadol etc?) and (2) if the emart at Tekong sell the stuff that we need in case we run out of it during the midst of training?

Those that are listed in your enlistment letter.

Clothing detergents, hangars, underwear.

It depends on what kind of stuff you are talking about.

U should bring detergent along with panadol or typical over the counter medication.

Do mention about the medicines to your sect comd or medic.

If your coy asks u to buy something but the tekong emart runs out of it, usually u will br given the chance to get it when u book out or wait till emart restocks the item.

But if it's something u didn't bring or forgot to bring then u hope yr bunk mates have spares.

I prefer liquid detergent like dynamo. Had bad experience with powder when the thing got a bit wet then hardened. Bring civilian tshirt/singlet & shorts to use as pyjamas. I heard they issue SAF sandals now if not bring your own.

Dont know if they still issue 2 sets of PT kit. That's grossly insufficient especially if weather is bad & washed clothes cant dry. Suggest u buy more PT kit. No emart credits since not enlisted yet but hey, what is some money for comfort & hygiene?

Hangers are a must. Black tape.Black permanent marker. They give u a list right? Dont rely too much on emart simply cos half of Tekong will be shopping so either it will be too crowded & u have no time to queue or the item u want will be out of stock.

That always happens during ICT which is why i rather shop at SAFRA emart prior to ICT.
