Of course banking is not for everyone.

If everyone makes the big bucks ... then who is going to do the cheap work?

Banking is for those who has it, can do and smart people.

If you are not cut out to be in the banking and finance ... then don't do it.

Enlighten me.

Is it or is it not officially 5 days work week for bankers?

Is it or is it not officially between 5, 5 1/2, 6 days for engineers?

Whether that employee choose to work late or smart for promotion is debatable till cow comes home.
What "officially" are you going on about? Who gives a rat's arse whether it's 'supposed' to be 9 to 5, 5 days a week? Reality is that the hours are long, period. Choose to work late? Let me take a poll in my office and see if any of us do it by choice, eh?

You're a fanboy who's absolutely clueless about what the industry's really like.

Lucky we are there to defend engineering jobs & the fact about banking jobs to prevent reader like fresh graduates being mislead by milo178.

There is a lesson to be learnt here.

The support/push for people to study engineering is still strong.

I will still occasionally post here when I come across some interesting reads on the papers.

Reviving this thread. I saw this picture which is as good as a thousand words to describe why engineers are perceived as losers in Singapore today.
