Is there anyway to check enlistment date? Call the ns hotline and they kept telling me to wait for the letter even tho most of my peers have already gotten theirs. Just want to enlist and get it over and done with.

u can see the overview of the enlistment schedule as per the given link. However, this info is just for info and doesn't mean u can go for any of it.

do u have any pending issues such as medical conditions? do u have a perm PES?

Nope. I do not have any existing medical conditions. Gotten my pes and completed ippt on feb. Just annoyed with them as even some of my friends in july PTP already got their letter

You will be notified of your enlistment date about two months prior to your scheduled enlistment by post.

U rush also no use

The earliest is the two month before enlistment lorh. dont pass IPPT also can, stuck inside training centre for extra 2 months, unless u pass IPPT, start 2 months later.

It can come at any time, as early as July, or I've had friends who were from the jc batch, ended up joining the poly batch a year later.

Nobody can prevent you from appealing. But when it works or not, is another matter.

nothing much you can do.

enjoy your next few months, continue to keep fit.

find part time job, or learn a skill ,learn driving if you havent done so.

make plans for your OCt 2020 ORD... secure place in uni already?

I guess my reply is a bit late but I will just keep it here in case there is a future need for someone in the similar shoe.

My case is rather special, I only took up PR (student scheme, NS-liable) after I grad from JC last year and done my NS registration in March. From there, my story of continual nagging CMPB starts...

Of course, I do have a sound ground to request for early enlistment: I secured a UK university for 2020 intake (which is quite rare actually because they usually only give one-year deferral) and also a government scholarship for that study.

Therefore, what i did is that I call CMPB to get my medical screening re-arranged to Mid-April, while the earliest slot shown on my portal is Mid-May. I then right after the check-up, emailed CMPB to beg them to expedite their process of assigning a medical grade, which they managed to finish within half a month, which is way faster than the normal one month.

However, after that, my concern further rises because it seems many poly batch people already got their letter in Apr and I scare that there might be no vacancies left. I then kept calling CMPB: once every 2 days, and even emailed to their boss (well you can find his email address/phone number online, but if you dont take the initiative to check, you dont get it) and boom, one week after getting my PES, i got my date and letter. The date was even pushed forward after i re-passed my IPPT (my school result expired...)

So my conclusion: IF YOU WANT TO GET THIS THING, YOU HAVE TO TAKE INITIATIVE TO REQUEST AND TO ASK, INSTEAD OF ASKING PEOPLE BLINDLY ONLINE.

Sorry. I don't understand why being able to secure a place for UK university 2020 intake got anything to do with you having a sound ground to request for early enlistment?

I can understand the sound ground may come from government scholarship for that study, but i don't see how being able to secure a place is a sound ground in anyway.

Nowadays PES assignment not done immediately if everything is right with the person? Need to wait 1 month? Or you were given PES D?
