Error message when backing up iPhone to iTunes! Help!

Folks,

I got this error message when trying to backup my 6+ on iTunes today: itunes could not back up iphone because an error occurred when reading or writing to the phone.

Uninstalling & reinstalling iTunes didn't help; deleting the backup file also didn't help. Yesterday it was still ok as I could still do my backup.

Presently on iOS 10.3.3 and running Windows 10. I managed to backup on iTunes on my old laptop running Windows 7 w/o issues. Also backed up on iCloud w/o issues.

Any help & advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I just reformatted my HDD & reinstalled everything, problem gone. Itunes is able to backup my iPhone now.

I had a work around solution: create another Microsoft account, log out of 1st accoint then log into 2nd account: iTunes could backup my iPhone but to me this was only a temporary fix so I decided to reformat my HDD.

if u could backup using another profile it means yr first profile was corrupted. just recreate it shud fix e problem...

Repairing corrupted profile needs to use the other profile & go into 1st profile & change registry values; no too sure of the correct steps & the correct file to replace so reformatting HDD easier & more straightforward.
