Ah, yes one of our popular questions about China. Yes you can if you use the Chinacom eSIM vs the Unicom one.

I purchased Chinacom eSim for my recent trip to Shenzhen. When I wanted to create a personal hotspot, I got the message that I should contact StarHub to set it up, which I couldn’t once in Shenzhen. Any idea what happened?

Do we need to remove our physical sim while oversea?
Im thinking to get esim for my swizterland trip.

Last time i recalled people kanna roaming data when they leave the physical sim in.

Not sure if this is still the case (2 years never travel). If you want 100% safe removed the sim.
