I am planning to bring

- B-mobile SIM [rent and collect from airport]
- Winter clothings [can help to specify how many of them should I bring?]
- Map + Guidebook
- Camera
- One extra bag
- VISA
- Cold hard cash

Anything else I must bring? [or any redundancy from the above?]

Don't really need map and guidebook. You can get free maps in Japan from Tourist info counters.
Remember to bring travel adaptor too.

Where and when are you going? Depending on time of year/area winter clothing may not be needed.

Ah yes. Thanks for reminding me about the travel adaptor. Very important, that one.

I thought I may need a map to jot down the places I want to go as I am not native to their language.
