The problem is if touch wood the account holder die suddenly, the IBKR holder's kids may not know their parent has IBKR account, but SCB is well known, so they may go check. haha.
Your estate "plan" is to expect your survivors to hunt around for your accounts everywhere? With due respect, WTF?

This is a well solved problem! Periodically upload a list of your accounts (or annual account statements if you like) to My Legacy Vault. And if you don’t want to die intestate (with default inheritance rules), get a will.

By the way, even if you don’t do that (you should!), survivors would presumably find your bank account (eventually), see fund transfers from your bank to your broker(s), and locate your brokerage account(s). In addition, Interactive Brokers allows you to name “trusted contacts.” It’s an option within the account settings. Trusted contacts are contacted if (for example) the account goes into “dormant” status.

You have valid reason, but for my case, I have a joint account with my kid in SCB, so definitely my kid will not missed out.
Add your kid (if over 18) as Trusted Contact.

I just checked, and you can add multiple Trusted Contacts.

A Trusted Contact is someone we can contact in the unlikely event that we are unable to reach you for an extended period. We do not share account details with the Trusted Contact and the Trusted Contact cannot transact on your behalf. Your trusted contact person must be age 18 or older.

Mate, I gotta admit, this is getting a bit exhausting. You've had multiple people tell you "you're overthinking this", and you keep arguing with us.

Here's the deal:
* Yes, ACWD will in theory deliver slightly higher returns than VWRA over the long term, because it's got a slightly lower expense ratio. You're right about that.
* Does it matter that much? Not really. 5bps is a tiny margin, and it's likely Vanguard will cut their TER in future to be in line with ACWD, because Vanguard loves cost-cutting.
* The other ETFs you found - CSPX, IMID - are not good comparisons for VWRA because they're not direct matches.

Go buy ACWD. It's fine, it's a good choice, we won't disagree with you if you buy it.
Hi really appreciate for yours and everyone's inputs. Just to emphasise that not trying to argue, etc. but just hope to find a ETF that might potentially have higher returns over a longer time-horizon.

As mentioned, already invested 150k+ in VWRA via IBKR.

Am thinking of if continuing to pump in money there, or seek for alternative ETFs to increasing my earnings within the IBKR platform.

Thanks alot everyone 👍

If you stick to not be too bogged down by TER, you are on the right track.

but if you are bogged down by TER discussion. Then you are off track.

Yes I understand, but just that TER might affect earnings long-term earnings.

But my main point is always to balance all the aspects, in order to find the ETF where I can pump in more money knowing that in the long-term future (around 20 years or so) I can just slowly let it grow without monitoring it much.

Thanks alot for your input 👍

Only if comparing apples to apples.

TER is not part of the balance. TER is a tie breaker.

Rather than go on and on, there is really no problem if you want to choose ACWD as your choice for the Global equities component of your portfolio.

Many others including myself managed to achieve financial independence investing in more expensive ETFs like VWRA.

After you choose ACWD, one day another ETF provider cut their costs and TER cheaper than ACWD, Then you will post again asking whether you should switch ETF..... 😅

I think you are better off looking at the past performance charts of the various ETFs, then taking a ruler to measure the angle and buying the one with the steepest angle.

There is some European website that compares the profits, TER, and tracking errors of the various ETFs, but I'm too lazy to find it for you now. Based on my sentence, maybe you can find it and contribute it back to the thread.

Need ask Guru here, on SCB trading platform, two VWRA shares are listed, I should buy VWRA.CH or VWRA.GB?
Similary, there are three CSPX listed. CSPX.NL, CSPX.GB and CSPXJ.CH, which one I should choose?
You want the "GB" ones, usually.
