Chin.....don't understand it.

In short, let say I put in $50K in any of the plan, if the Etiq/Maybank bankrupt, I should still get back my $50K, right? It is okay if the interest earned is gone due to this factor.

Noted your PM, will use yours shortly.

yes for Elastiq.

No for SaveV. In the first 3 years, u only get back the guaranteed surrender value based on the projected benefit illustration which will be lower than 50k during this period. (this would be the worst case scenario as there r other options MAS & SDIC would look at) From 4th year, then the GSV grows to more than 50k.

Wow....that is dangerous for SaveV which I wasn't aware.

May have to re-consider lo, I really afraid if my amount is not guarantee return.

Yea its funny how sdic insure endowment plans. What's the point of insuring the Surrender value only haha..really stupid.

Hi all,

just wanna ask, for endowment plans once the term is up, would the money be automatically credited to our bank account? or do we have to approach them?

up to $250 cash back for eEasy Save

cashback promo is back ...

https://www.tiq.com.sg/promotion/11-11-crazy-sale/

$25,000 – $50,000 (annual premium before discount) $50
$51,000 – $100,000 (annual premium before discount) $110
>$100,000 (annual premium before discount) $250

I think if apply via PolicyPal, shld be able to get both Tiq's cashback & PP's P$ credits (must confirm with PP)

DYODD (this is not like Elastiq, or Gigantiq, or EasyEarn)

both covered but the protection from risk of insurer failure is very different bcos of how the product is structured

SDIC PPF covers the guaranteed surrender value at point of failure (not the projected maturity value)

Elastiq is 100% protected from Day 1 since Account Value = Guaranteed Surrender Value

SaveV, the Guaranteed Surrender Value in first few years is below the total premiums paid so there is risk of loss of capital

do check with SDIC if unsure
risk of capital loss not total loss right?
The amount placed in still guaranteed? :o

look at the projected BI & the column that says Guaranteed Account Value to determine how much would the loss be over the years

this is in event of insurer failure ... if nothing happens, the 2.68%pa is guaranteed if held to maturity

just wondering if I need to decide the yearly premium (from S$10,000 to S$200,000 in multiples of S$500) at the point of signing up or I can still change and top-up if I want to add?
