Hi everyone,

Has anyone some advice or experience to share comparing these 2 products?

Apparently, Eubiq is a local invention and has been in market for years and 1st of its kind. Line 8 is a branch off and claim to be an evolution of it. Also apparently Eubiq is now owned by a Chinese company from China... very confusing.

Am planning for new home and indeed the headache of insufficient amd wrongly placed outlets is a big issue, which is the key selling point of these power track systems.

I used to walk past Eubiq shops and thought to myself that these are for those who live in luxury but I guess I was wrong. I am keen to get but dont want to patronise a company that is going through transition/new or just changed owners...as this might lead to poor customer support and quality.

Perhaps we can all share what we know here.

I tried browsing through line8's website...they didn't setup the site well...

Tried clicking learn more on the products leads me to nothing...

I'm looking for these as well.

Their dealer seems more enthu then their own website: https://www.facebook.com/asl.eubiq/

Hi, understand that Eubiq is still a local company and not own by any China company, but instead they have expended their business to China

More information about the differences can be found here https://www.aslpower.com.sg/more-about-line8/line8-vs-eubiq

I think the main difference is that Line8 is made in Singapore and hence provide customised lengths and finishes.

About the durability, Line8 claims that they have removed all the wear and tear components like the rubber and the metallic springs so that the power track will last alot longer than eubiq.

Seems that Line8 has the nicer looking website now. Product seems more premium and more well built than eubiq.

Line8 has many improvements while eubiq has been stagnant for too long. Doesn't help with eubiq is now more expensive and is made in China.

My 2 cents.

So far, my own line8 track dun have this issue. I do have both eubiq bought back in 2014 or so and line 8 used for living room tv console. The feel of line8 is indeed slightly flimsier and lighter but the price difference is quite a lot as compared to eubiq. Also, for a same 600mm track, eubiq can only fit 5-6 while line8 can fit 8 (using 600mm track now).

Only thing i noticed recently is when i used multi plug adaptor on it for my soundbar + subwoofer. If i pull the ring very slowly, i can hear the electric charge / spark-like sound, but did not see any spark.

Nt sure if its due to the multiplug or what coz when i plugged individually, i did not hear any spark sounds. Will monitor to see if there are any further reoccurance.

Case 8- Line8 Adaptors Cannot Turn Fully in Powertrack
https://youtu.be/Skm-q_tAwGU

For this one, i believe owner inserted wrongly. The ground pin should be facing left, not right. I tried other way round before and cannot turn de, same for Eubiq.

Also, not sure if it helps, but for my usage, i do not keep on taking out the plugs and reposition them. I insert in preset locations and just turn it on.

We have done our investigations on the source of these videos and we have traced them back to an ex-distributor of our product which we have terminated due to their unscrupulous business practices, haphazard and unprofessional and unlicensed electrical services rendered to our customers.

We would not name them here. They have breached our trust, stealing our resources to resell a Chinese power track product that breaches the numerous intellectual property of both Eubiq and Line8 products which also breaches the consumer safety guidelines set by Enterprise Singapore.

These cases they have tried to use to attack us just underscores their incompetence in basic electrical installation knowledge poor workmanship and business conduct.

Comments on the videos
Case #1 - The installer has failed to align the conductors during assembly and installation. Case #2 - Basic electrical wiring is done wrongly (live was connected to earth. sparks was from safety grounding shield discharging current) case #3 and #4 - Audio of the video is intentionally tampered with. Case #5 - electrical end terminal wasn't securely fastened by the installer. Case #6 - the audio is superimposed onto video, phone moved nearer and further but still sounds the same volume. Case #7 - Known issue with a production batch where the interlocking switch mechanism is too sensitive. All adaptors from that batch are recalled and replaced with brand new units at no cost. Case #8 - Adaptors are deliberately inserted upside down. Case #9 and #10 - Similar to #7.

From this deliberate action of collating and creating these videos, there is an intention here to spread falsehoods, create misleading information and content for malicious intent.

We will proceed to take legal advice against them.

If you happen to be the homeowners of any of these 10 cases please identify yourself here and Line8 Pte Ltd will take full responsibility to do a full technical check and review of your power track. Furthermore, our products come with a 5-year warranty and we have not heard from any of these consumers approaching us for warranty claims.

Dear moderator I would like to seek your help to prevent such unlawful behavior and stop such defamatory posts that contain falsehoods from contaminating our community.
