Eva air additional luggage

Heading to Taiwan next week. Booked the Eva air thru trip.com. Understand that only one checkin luggage (23kg) is allowed. Wondering if i wan to add on additional luggage but total weight still within 23kg, is it allowable? If not how to request or buy?

Depends on the wordings, there's some that states strictly ONE piece of baggage, while others just require the total to be not more thant 23kg for multiple pieces of baggage.
Otherwise, check your booking to see whether option to purchase additional baggage is available.

Is 23kg not sufficient though? Logically speaking, shouldn't the return trip require more to lug back all the food and things.

It writes only 1 pce of check in luggage..correct, I am looking for adding in more luggage for return trip… and I don’t think I see an option to add more luggage (unless I missed it) when I book thru trip.com

They go by per luggage If I'm not wrong whatever you have for additional will be considered as excess luggage which cost roughly additional about $130++USD for additional 1/23kilo for prebook

Taiwan airline now all go by per pc/weight. Only sq/scoot still go by total weight.

Yes, most likely you missed the option or it wasn't available at all.
I faced similar issue when I booking on Trip previously ...

Yup, then gotta buy new tickets if really need more limit.

go to manage your booking in eva air website to try see if you can prebook 10% discount for the excess luggage as you did not purchase ticket directly from them.

If I bring cabin luggage on board, meaning I can’t bring my backpack on board as only 1 pce of luggage is allowed?
