Given this example, can anyone explain to me the meaning of it?

In June 2013, SGD1.4=AUD1, in Dec 2013, the Australian currency has grown stronger to 1.2.

What does the above statement mean? Does it mean in Dec 2013, SGD1.2=AUD1?

I think the Australian currency has grown weaker relative to SGD when AUD.SGD 1.4 becomes 1.2

The example's wrong. If the rate goes from SGD 1.4 = AUD 1 to SGD 1.2 = AUD 1, the Aussie dollar has weakened, not strengthened.
