Anyone have experience with expedia hotel booking?
Their hotel booking confirmation like never attach document for you to print to show hotel?
Unlike agoda which have a more official kind of booking confirmation document.
Is it normal for expedia or i am missing something?

You can always email the hotel to confirm anyway...

Just provide expedia booking no in your email.

I always print the confirmation which is like a official invoice confirmation paper and give the counter

for recent japan trip, none of the 6 hotels we stayed asked for booking info ... just present passport to check in

think Confirmation is useful as a back up in case some thing happens .. but i think Expedia app or website booking record shld suffice as well

I believe most hotels if not all would require passports to check in, at least that's my encounter across all hotels in my recent trip. From your passport they could retrieve your booking, regardless whether it's direct or via 3rd party booking.
