These resellers simply just buy RAM from SLS or other sources, and then just use these low quality DRAMs to entice potential buyers to buy the Macs from them.

There is a HUGE difference in the quality between the RAM from Apple, and those RAM you find at SLS.

When the temperature in the chassis increases, low quality RAMs will start to fail easily.

Um, no. The stock RAM modules I had were Hynix modules, which were the same type of module you can find in any other laptop. My old Acer and Asus both had Hynix also. Only difference between Apple RAM and good 3rd party RAM is that the price for Apple RAM has been given the Apple treatment.

different retailers have different exchange policies. i think epicentre will only exchange if the unit is faulty within the first 7 days, i don't recall them providing refunds.

My just felt that the screen rubber seal is slightly off. No major issue though.

the replacement is will epicenter, point of purchase, not with Apple.

You can still get it serviced by Apple by bringing in to an Apple Authorised Service Provider if they deny the replacement request.

Best is to call AppleCare and bring it up to a Senior Advisor, send some photos of the mac.

If they Senior Advisor confirms that it qualifies for a replacement, get him/her to log a ticket in the system and bring it back to epicenter.

sometimes, you may be asked to send it to an Apple Authorised Service Provider first to have it checked before asked to be brought back to the reseller.
