Experience buying from e-retailers?

Does anyone have experience buying from local e-retailers before? I noticed it seems more common these days, e.g. 7daydeals and The Camera Garage (previously John 3 16 before funan closed).

E-retailers can offer pretty good deals likely cos overheads are lower and they don't need to pay rent, but my concern is if the cameras spoil within the warranty period, would there be issues getting the cameras fixed/serviced and if the respective brands' service centres (eg. Canon/Fuji) will honour the warranties. Lazada has deals too (esp with 11.11 sale coming) but I'm a bit reluctant if the seller is overseas.

If anyone has experience, please share.

There are local e-retailers on Lazada & Qoo10 ...
People like Parasilk and many others....
They also offer local agent warranty as well as additional warranty coverage under NTUC for nominal amount.

Yes... 1st gopro hero 4 black bought from Parasilk online Lazada
Recently bought hero 6 from Outdoor Sports Travel online Qoo10
all with local warranty

Others Like cheap Olympus TG3 digicam and accessories bought on online also... can’t recall the retailer name.. but sounds like Sun Trailer or something like that....

Only camera bought from brick and mortar shop is my Pentax K1 and Sony 6000... from MSCOLOR Ang Mo Kio
