Upgraded my gpu today and once i had it installed, the dram light lit up. Checked the forum and did the following.
1. Reset the cmos battery.
2. Resit the ram.
3. Remove the new gpu.
4. Also tried with my old gpu and onboard graphics still no go.
Tested the ram next
1. Slot 1&3 didnt work
2. Slot 2&4 didnt work
3. Slot 1 worked for both rams
4. Slot 2 worked for both ramas
5. Slot 3 did not work for both rams.
6. Slot 4 did not work for both rams.
At this point i was convinced slot 3&4 was busted leaving me with no dual channel.
The next one hour i spent on just trying all kind of ram combinations but randomly slot 2&4 worked again(which was my original configuration)
Pc is back up and running but im confused? What went wrong? Is my mobo faulty or i messed something up?
