Hi all, anyone know if the fiber internet offer by those ISP (Singet,M1,Starhub) is Half or Full Duplex?

I think it's half Duplex mode since there's 2 strand of fiber, one in each port. Since they only connect one port it's half duplex which means the speed is cut by half.

fyi, a 100mb lan full duplex speed is = to fiber 200mb half duplex.

GPON isn't as simple as you think. If you were to look at the communication going on in your fibre patch cable, it's actually full duplex over a simplex cable, as it transmits and receives on two different wavelengths simultaneously (1490 and 1310nm), which is why you cannot compare copper connections and fibre like that.

Full duplex.
way it's programmed for residential is 100down/50up... sow whatever your package is the upload speed is 50% of your download speed.
And yes.. fiber can go up to 1320mbps... (into Gigabits!) FULL DUPLEX... but it's all depend on signal power, transmit power (Light) and connection quality....

and it's all over 1 fiber strand of glass.

Go google How Fiber Optic Cable is made.....it's on you tube
