After few years they finally called me up for my very first High Key ICT... but the problem is I'm currently having my Degree course and I don't wish to miss 2 weeks out of it, so many lessons are very crucial, altho the time table aren't out since the call up is May 2015.

Wish to know if possible to defer it after my studies and how should I go about doing it? Many thanks!

private u? tough luck mans if u have nite class, most likely u will get time off for lesson

if u have day class, i hope it meets the min req duno how many hours per week if not..

Usually depending on the vocation.

However, if you are rifleman then usually is after the xiong exercise where they need men most, then after exercise you are free to do your committments.

If you are one of those HQ guys like clerks and storemen, usually seek opinion from your immediate superior, you would be granted time off.

Thanks guys for the input but I'm taking full time degree at PSB no night classes.

I'm not rifleman, recently posted from HQ CPC to 6/9 DA at CPC, most probably storeman, previously was from 3DA CPC. So my immediate superior are not the same anymore for my reservist unit.

I saw the online deferment form but there's a part where it's "Optional", consulting my superior, in this case should I call up my unit clerk directly?

u which unit?some unit ICT dun need to stay in.. like navy & airforce esp..

full time degree got how many hours a week of lesson, i think if got more than 15 hours per week (cannot rmb the number) defer will most likely succeed.

u are unlikely to get time off during office hours for ict when u got things to do, like live firing prep that sort of stuff

i think u shld call ns.sg and go thru ur PC -> OC b4 applying, that way more smooth, if u apply directly, i think will fail and then sibey waste time when the appeal process starts

Definetly not UOL since you have lessons in May.

Private degree can still be given deferment. But priority goes to full time students or those with at least 12-15 hours per week of lessons.

I have seen many people missed 2 weeks of lessons because of reservist also. Probably try to get a friend and record the lesson down for you if possible.
