I have realized that when I check "my devices" with "find my phone" I can see my wifes iPhone 4. This is my old phone but she now has a different sim card and has used her own apple ID etc.

I prefer she is not included in my devices and is able to track her own phone/pad if she needs to. So I wish she was under her own apple ID.

Other info: she travels to Taiwan and uses a different SIM there and that one doesn't show under my devices. But when she comes back and uses a local SIM it seems to revert back. I had reset the phone when I gave it to her.

How can I "clean out" my user ID so that her phone doesn't revert back to it when she is here with me?

Thanks for any help and suggestions.

It's there but the location shouldn't show up.
It shouldn't work because its two way.
Find my iPhone needs to be enabled on her iPhone under your apple ID.
You need to be signed into your apple ID in iCloud/Find my iPhone to track the phone.

You may simply remove it from your list by swiping to the left and hitting the red button.

Petpet,

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure I understand all your points but for Find my iPhone needs to be enabled on her iPhone under your apple ID. I will check this.

Regarding the last point let me say that taking her device off my "find phone" devices won't really solve my problem. I want her to be able to use her own apple ID as she needs including find my phone.

Hope you understand my meaning.

What I'm trying to say was. In order for you to track her iPhone under your Apple ID in iCloud. You must be signed in to her iPhone, under your Apple ID with Find my iPhone feature enabled.

So all you have to do is to remove your iCloud credentials off her iPhone and you should not be able to track her in "Find My iPhone"
