First Time Building a Gaming Desktop

Hi, i have no experience in building a desktop.. And my dad is letting me build one of my own. Any suggestions on what parts to get? I play games like DOTA2, Bioshock, AC and i want to play them in high settings. Budget will be around 1.3k. Thanks in advanced!
p.s i have no used/spare parts and i must get everything starting from case.

Ok for the start if you want to get some hands on experience it is best that you could DIY on your own. With the help of LinusTechTips from youtube build a pc guide, you could learn how to build one. There are many other videos to guide you along if you need help. You can also post some problems here also if you are unsure and do not know what to do.

There is also an easy way out. That is to pay the shop to help you do up the rig.
This way there is no excitement and nothing gain. Also do you do not know your pc better.

Hey i just notice that the ASRock motherboard has only 2 ram channel. any other recommendation for a 4 ram channel motherboard?

That model only gt 2 ram channels coz its a budget board. U wan 4 ram channels, get msi b85m g43 or asrock b85m pro4. But your budget must up as well.

U can get yourself 32 or 64gb rams, but do you actually use it?? Unless u go heavy video editing, Adobe suit of programs, etc.

Gaming wun use more than 8gb of rams de.

Since you got 2 ram slots only, get 1 stick of 8gb ram. If w3anna upgrade, den can put another stick of 8gb. Total of 16gb is mroe than enough.

You still just need 1 slot.

Take note that Home Premium max only allow you to go is 16gb rams.

I have recommended you to get just 1 slot of 8gb ram.

In future if you really need to go the extra 8gb more just slot into another ram slot.

4 ram slot is good for people whom wanna go above 16gb.

actually some people with 4 ram slots just go for 4x4gb anyways.
anything above 16gb is very unnecessary.
