First Time going Chongqing

Going chongqing mid May (about 5 days). Any advice on:

1) flight? - Silkair seem to have only 1 flight a day. By the time, reach Chongqing is about 2300hr. Whole day gone

2) hotel to stay?

3) places to visit?
