Just to share my experience and explanation.
My free 1-year trial ended on 26 Jun, and so I ported over to a paid subscription plan ($10/month).
On 20 Jul, I was billed twice (total $20) and gotten a refund of $10. All on the same day. So nett amount paid, $10. No complains.
On 20 Aug, I was billed twice (total $20) and NO refund of $10. And so I email TPG.
In the end, they sent a template reply (because I think many people are facing the same issue).
So basically, mobile service providers do collect the 1 month of subscription in advance.
So technically, my first bill should be $20 - 20 Jul. But strangely, they refunded me $10. And now on 20 Aug, they billed me the 'advance 1 month' payment instead.
So in summary, since I joined TPG paid service in Jun, I should be paying 2 x subscription month. While they billed correctly, for some unknown reason, they refunded me $10. And this month, they decided to bill me the 'advance 1 month' subscription, and thus, resulted in another 'double billing', which is technically correct.
Just to share, for those who are facing double billing issues.
Then again, their communication and billing department sucks big time. If a company can't get their billing right (or rather how their customers perceived it to be), they are quite screwed.
But for me, I'm still staying with TPG since it's only $10/month and they have reception for inside MRT tunnels liao.
