Taipei, April 26 (CNA) Former President Chen Shui-bian's (陳水扁) son Chen Chih-chung (陳致中) was sentenced to one year in jail for his role in a money-laundering scheme connected to several corruption-related cases in which the former first family is involved.

Plainly corrupt
But sought to avoid punishment by claiming to be so sick , can't stay in jail

But once out of jail, act like not even corrupt.to begin with

Why only one year? Evidence not enough?

I know they dun have direct evidence on his dad, but certainly there are strong evidences of the other people around Chen shuibian like his wife. Can’t be just because she was crippled by KMT then let her off right? Must jail 20 years

All those people proven to be directly involved in the money laundering should be jailed.

also hope one day they can do something about Biden’s son

Cos some.of Chen's cases were frozen due to reasons like health etc

After so.much time have elapsed some.of the cases.cannot.proceed

This guy and family are so.so.corrupt
They found cash etc that rotted.cos kept so long

Still so shameless to appear in public and claim political persecution

I think they only got evidence on people around him, so by inference he is the mastermind and as the president supposedly can’t be unaware of that

but real reason is that they want to drag him down because politically for his opponents they only want to jail him instead of his family

nevertheless that is still good so that they can keep the others in line. No one is above the law even a president.
