frame lag issues

i am currently having fps issues on battlefield 4, about 30-40 fps. i only bought my pc about 1 year ago and my friends who play the game which have a similar specs to mine have no issues with frame lag. I've look for many youtube videos and tried many methods to increase the fps of the game but it still doesnt work. any help?

Specs: geforce gtx 670
intel core i5-3470 ! 3.20ghz
8gb ram
windows 7
(game is on ssd)
updated all my drivers

I think 30-40fps on your rig is normal if u turn up all settings to the max. im only getting 60-90fps depend on map.

Try googling, the issue seems to be with win 7. Stuttering stops when is upgraded to windows 8.

I had same problem too when i was using Window Vista. Frequent major lag spike at even lowest setting.

Decide to change to Window 8, download the latest GPU driver and everything went really smooth! Getting 80 ~ 100fps at medium setting.

Really recommend you to upgrade to Window 8 if you want better performance for Battlefield 4.
