From IPT to RT ?

I completed my ipt in previous window
But new window stat that I need to clear 10 RT in this window
I thought as long as I clear all 10 sec of ipt means i done alr mah how come become RT liao leh
Want to know in this window I just need to clear all the 10 RT only or aft that I still need to do ipt again or pass ippt ?
Whats the diff between rt n ipt ?
If no diff why this window must force me to rt instead of ipt?
Any laojiao can ans ?

it could be the following:

- u did not actually complete 10 IPT sessions. u need to ensure your attendance records shows 8 IPT and 2 IPT-IPPT.

- your previous window is actually RT window.

- or, system error.

based on your story about 10 RT, u should only be required to take 10 RT sessions and u should be cleared from this window.

RT and IPT difference is that RT attendance is compulsory.

Hi, did you attempt at least 1 x IPT-IPPT within the 10 x sessions?

Base on your 10 x RT on the following window, you are likely to have completed 10 x IPT sessions (training) without an IPT- IPPT, that's why you have to perform RT. You must clocked at least 1 x IPT-IPPT in order to fulfill the IPT package. However, MINDEF will take into consideration the nos of sessions that you have clocked on the previous window (20 RT - 10 IPT sessions = 10 RT for the new window).

I feel the email was poorly-worded. It seems to suggest that your current window (3 Oct 2018 - 2 Oct 2019) obligations are fulfilled.

From your earlier thread (https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...ledge-base-162/completing-ur-ipt-5911734.html), you mentioned your 10th session was 2 Oct 2018 (Tuesday). This would only cover your previous window, not this window. So i'm surprised the email already mentioning a future window.

UNLESS, the email is very specifically addressing your RT concern, then the last sentence could mean, depending on your IPPT results THIS window the earliest you can book a RT is 2019 i.e. you fail this window. Hence i say the email is poorly worded and ambiguous.

Please call them and clarify, make sure what you see on NS.sg and what they tell you reconciles. For the rest of us, IPPT is still yearly

a bit off-topic....if Year 1 i failed IPPT, Year 2 i'm supposed to undergo 20 RT sessions. Could i then opt for IPT in Year 2 to "save" 10 Sessions? Logic tells me no, because that would be cheating the system but curious to know otherwise

the system is very clear. as long u did not clear your window (be it by passing IPPT or having 10 IPT), your next window shall be 20-D RT.

Do read up on the info in NS Portal for better understanding.

RT is remedial, to make up for not clearing your previous window.

IPT is more "pre-emptive", it is only valid for the CURRENT window.
