my galaxy note has been rebooting itself these few days - the samsung logo and animation goes on and on and i cannot start up my phone successfully. i attempted to do a factory reset by holding the volume up + power + home button and i managed to see the android robot but there were no tiny words/options for me to do the reset, there was just the robot. so i brought it to the service center at jurong point and i paid $30 for them to do a software test for an hour. i went back and they told me motherboard got prob and the repair cost is $300+. i refused so i took the phone home. seriously, can they even be trusted? they did the so-called test behind and not infront of you they can claim anything they want. they didnt even give a report/explanation whatever to describe the prob. i just feel kinda cheated.

what options do i have now? is there really no way to boot the phone up? would appreciate some help, thanks!

edited : i tried turning the phone on, and this time there was an error msg that says "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". it only happened after i brought the phone to the service center. not sure what sort of checks they did but this is what i got.
