GameMax PSU 80 Plus certified?

Was seeing this new GameMax PSU and at first wrote it off as a cheapo PSU aka the new Vios, but then I saw it has 80 Plus certification and is even listed on the 80 Plus website? Does this mean it's legit or has 80 Plus gone down the drain?

Agree. There are quite a lot of 80 Plus certified PSU even from the bigger brands like EVGA. We need to look beyond the certification because while it is 8 Plus certified, it could be a very low wattage PSU, but advertised above its specs. I've seen some advertising as 450W, but can actually only sustain at 230+ W.

If want to buy inferior quality cheap PSU, at least get renowned brands with protection features and warranty to get yourself covered.

Never cheap out on unknown brand PSUs. The 80+ certification means nothing really. It tells you nothing about the components used inside the PSU.

You will regret in the long term. Stick to trusted brands.
