If you want a gaming laptop with the latest gen GPU and CPU, it won't cost less than $1,000, even if they are the entry level versions. Minimum would be around $1,500 estimate.

Below $1,000, you would have to get previous gen GPU/CPU, which may not be ideal if you want 'gaming' laptop.

Check out Aftershock for customizable gaming laptops for $1,500 and above. Branded ones will cost more.

If budget is strict, then have to source for previous gen laptops from brands. ASUS/MSI/Lenovo are OK.

Is Aftershock gaming lappies worth it?
Using an Aftershock gaming laptop here. No complains.

Even though aesthetics and build quality are poor, they are not things that I mind. Specs are the only things that I care and the value per dollar is the best and it's entirely customizable.

Rough comparison: A customized gaming laptop that costs $3,000 from Aftershock will cost ~$4,000 from brands like Razer, Alienware and others with similar specs.

Very considerable savings!
