Hi all,

I use the nuvi 40LM and have updated it a few weeks back.

Just wondering how do you guys deal with the following problem. For example, I want to go to Marina Barrage (260 Marina Way, Singapore 018976). When I try to locate it via postal code, the GPS cannot find it. When I key in the address, the GPS can find it but does not seem to provide the accurate location I should be heading.

For example, inputting 260 Marina Way shows me this on the map https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17604288/Photo%207-4-14%209%2050%2042%20PM.jpg

However, if you were look at the exact location on google maps, it is quite far off https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17604288/Photo%207-4-14%209%2058%2010%20PM.png

I am aware that you can use the points of interest function in this instance. However, what about a case where the location we want is not a point of interest?

Many thanks.

Hi all,

I also use the nuvi 40LM.

I search HDB postal code - 641659, 760512, 760103, 437436 the GPS cannot find also.

Any one can advise, Thanks

How did you search for the postal code? Which map did you use?
With exception for 760512(also not available on google map) all the rest can be found.

Some of the newer locations may not have been updated yet. For cases like this I will get gps coordinates from google map and key in our gps device.
you can save this location in your favorites for future use.

For postal code, best use City Navigator maps.. think malfreemap & malsingmap still not as comprehensive when it comes to postal codes..
