I'm looking to get an iphone se to keep as a back up phone. Not looking for any other model.

Is it likely the price will not change any time from now till maybe march when the next iterations of iphones would be announced? Most likely SE will be discontinued in march.

Was wondering if I should just get one soon or if there's any point in waiting for another price drop

If it is just back up phone, just buy.

Few weeks ago while I was looking at SE as my 2nd phone, I saw Challenger retailing the SE at a price lower than the Apple's retail price. Can't remember the exact Challenger's price, so worth to check it out if you want it brand new.

Otherwise, online is another alternative.

ya i think it's 688 at challenger (online @ hachi tech its that price), so roughly 40bucks off from apple msrp. but i think 688 is only for members. do you think retailers like challenger will do a sale on these phones once the demand is going to be near zero?

i'm not in a rush to buy since it's probably gonna sit sealed in the box for a few months or even year +

Lazada 1212 u no buy? 10% off retail leh.

if you mean lazada's official iphone store, they don't stock SEs

I would expect outside shops to sell even lower.

Or you try to buy from carousell at slightly higher price than the buyback prices from those shops. (Eg $450 for iPhone SE 32GB - which is $50 higher than J2Mobile).
