Hi guys,

I am taking up a degree course with SIM. Any recommendations of which bank offers a good Education Loan?

Thanks

Also, has anyone heard of TCC Credit Co-operative? Saw some earlier threads a few years back about it.

Apparently its not a bank but offers 2.9% interest p.a. Seems very low and attractive.

Anyone with feedback on them?

Better compare before you sign up. Some bank charges more than the other. Did a search last year as I was considering a loan from the bank for my daugther's study. Besides, there is a limit ti the amount you can loan based on your salary or garantor's salary. I think it up to 5x..... something like that

Finally went down to talk to the staff at TCC. Its actually not bad..the 2.9% interest is much lower than the other banks.

You got to provide guarantors though... They will fund 100% of my course fees but need one guarantor. If the course fees is over 6 times my income, they ask for 2 guarantors. In the end, I got my dad applied the loan under his name as his income is higher and we only needed one guarantor then..

You gotta join as a member when you take the loan but you open a savings account can already so its just like being a bank customer.
