Was helping a friend to enquire abt this model as he wanted a good gaming laptop at 1.5k.. Naturally this model comes to mind considering it was selling at 1.5k back last year sitex and sold out. Thus call my good friends at Gamepro to check out.
This model is updated with the GTX950m gpu.
Mike directed me to their rakuten site as they were having sale yesterday and taught me a way to get even more discount then they could offer.
They couldnt sell at 1.5k anymore as cost increase due to fluctuation from US D..
Retail 1699 at shop and rakuten
Applied rakuten $30 discount code and Mastercard tuesday 5% off capped $50 yesterday
$1619 after discount. Then i was taught abt ebates.sg, something that works like shopback. Went in and was shock to see rakuten offering 15% cashback UNCAPPED!
Did my calculation and realise we could get the laptop at
1619 - 15% of 1699 = 1364.15 !
My friend just hooted it without consideration!
Collected his order last night after work and their staff were patient in helping him set up the laptop. Nonetheless, thumbs up to Gamepro staffs for their awesome service and product offerings...
