Given a choice, will you buy a Class 2B, Class 2A or Class 2 bike? And which model do you recommend?

What is your opinion?

Was advise that Class 2A is the sweet spot between power and manoeuvrability.

Class 2B bikes are light and easy to manoeuvre in Singapore's traffic. But is underpowered on expressways. And cannot accelerate out of dangerous situations.

Class 2 bikes are too heavy and too powerful, especially in start-stop traffic. Maintenance can be more costly too. Was told a Cam-An Spyder or Honda Goldwing's maintenance cost more than a 1.6L bread and butter saloon.

So Class 2 A bikes is the sweet-spot?

2b bike too light. every time a truck passed by the bike body will vibrate.

Yes, Super 4 was a good bike. Loved the exhaust sound.

Super 4 looks nice but second-hand prices also very steep.

Was told this model is discontinued in Singapore because of emission controls.

The Super 4 Vtec III or Revo prices are very steep in the second-hand market.

Even COEed Super 4 also quite expensive.

But yes, very cheap to maintain.

Nope. Super 4 isn't most affordable at all. It's an inline 4 still and the cost of servicing is similar to class 2 already.

Vespa gts 300 can't beat xmax for practicality for maintenance cost and storage capacity

Can explain why GTS 300 is most practical?

Is it drive by wire?

Another bike with the same 278cc QUASAR engine I was looking at previous was the MP3. One extra piece of rubber on the ground.

The 278cc QUASAR engine got good reviews in Europe but was discontinued because of emission controls too.

In the current landscape, less using super 4 already. Unless you like hearing inline4, there are cheaper options available.

Personally don't like it due to its weight and lack of low end power.

Yes, was looking at Yamaha for for practicality and maintenance.

A new Tricity 300 is coming out soon, probably same engine as XMAXbut not sure about pricing.

Piaggio/Vespa the electronics are very battery-sapping. So if 1-2 weeks never start engine, the battery can be flat.

The Japanese make their electronics much better and whole bike is more maintenance free.

Yeah, even the outlook of the inline 4 cannot fight the classic Super 4 look.
