how can you expect this type of salaries when the open leg policies allowed infinite amount of foreign labour who are diploma and degree holders who can undercut you easily.

They earn $3,000 monthly .. they damn happy coz they only need to support themselve in singapore and sent the rest back to their home country to upgrade their family lives and homes.

When I graduate from ITE my starting pay was $2.1k. 1 year later found a job in MNC starting pay was 2.7k another year later increase to 3.1k. 3rd year than hit 3.5k

that was in the early 2010s
