Good Looking Gaming PC Need Advice

Hi guys,

I'm planning to build a Gaming PC soon, a good looking one!
Going for a White/Black build.
I did some research, watched tutorials and reviews.
My budget is about 2K, the parts I picked is mainly for aesthetic.

These are the parts I picked from MyNeXTCom's website.

3 in 1 Bundle ($777)
MotherBoard: Z170A KRAIT GAMING 3X
CPU: i5 6600K
Ram: Corsair Vengeance LED 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHZ

2 in 1 Bundle ($526)
GPU: Asus Dual GTX 1060 6GB
PSU: Superflower Leadex Silver 90+ Full Modular 650W

2 in 1 Bundle ($232)
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
HDD: Seagate 1TB 7200RPM 16MB Cache

Case: NZXT S340 Elite White ($189)

Case Fan: Corsair Air Series AF120 LED White Quiet Edition High Airflow 120mm Fan Twin Pack ($39)

Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 ($185)

The total amount is: $1948.

I am wondering if I can get a cheaper price at else where, like for example I can get the GPU at a cheaper price at QOO10 with the Cart Coupon. There may be other places that sells at a cheaper price that I am not aware off. I do also know carousell has cheaper stuffs but I want my stuffs brand new.


Also since the Asus Dual GTX 1060 has no backplate, I'm planning to make an acrylic to cover it. But there is something i'm concerned about. Is it okay to put an acrylic on the back of the GPU? Like will it overheat or affect the performace etcetc...

You're planning for overclocking? In my opinion Air Cooler like cryorig h7 will be good .
Go to SLS ( i recommend tradepac )
There are new motherboard and cpu
The z270 and kabylake
I think you might want to have newest one.
RAM 2400 is alr good.
If possible the psu go for the gold. Leadex-II
And i think you can go for 1070.
Maybe add few dollar more.
Just decrease the ssd to 750(120gb)

This all just my advice.

Thanks for the info, but EVGA GPU a bit hard to get in Singapore, If I were to get EVGA GPU I want the one with the Dual Fan de. Have to get from overseas right?

you can save abit on the AIO, ID Cooling Frostflow 240L performs almost on par with the Cosair at a fraction of the price, comes in white too

Hmm, im building a similar build, and I just thought with some used parts that are still under warranty, you can get a slightly better build at a lower cost.

Here's what i got,
i7 6700k + 2tb toshiba hdd @ $480 with GC + coupon discount on qoo10
z170a krait 3x @ $130 on carousell (Used, purchased in oct 2016)
evga 750w G3 + 16gb corsair white led kit 3000mhz @ $306sgd on amazon
crucial mx300 750gb @ $190 on carousell (BNIB)
corsair h100i v2 without fan @ $110 on carousell (Used, purchased in 2015 with 3 years remaining warranty, i was intending to get the IDcooling Frostflow 240l @ $100 but realise the h100i v2 has even more warranty remaining despite it being used)
corsair 400c white @ $109 on lazada
dell u2715h @ $500 on carousell (Used)

so far total spent $1325 without monitor and $1825 with monitor. I will give my friend the fans for the h100i since i got a set that is not used, but im sure if you find on carousell you can get it for below $30. planning to add in a zotac 1070, just waiting for qoo10 coupons get it at $450, or i can just get it now at $480 on qoo10 also. say i get it at $480, the total cost including $30 for fans will be just $1835 without the dell monitor.

Dual fan is not necessary for the GTX 1060. I had the EVGA GTX 1060 SC, which is single fan, and it ran quiet and cool.

Disclaimer, I'm not the seller.

The 240mm radiator can only mount at the front of the NZXT 340 elite, most probably will be air intake.

Why not look at kabylake series and the new z270s?

Motherboard like the asus z270-a prime or gigabyte gaming 7 z270x are also white themed.

Evga just showed superclocked ii and ftw ii in ces... Agreed evga looks slick.

I got my evga Gtx 1070 superclocked from carousell at $570. Have to apply own thermal pads that are requested and send free from evga though.

But you don't run stuff like benchmark and furmark all the time, so the pads are optional but still best to apply them haha.

unless u telling me u getting those old models, den maybe they are, but now now more.

Yup, yup. I'm running them at stock no thermal pads. No problem while gaming or normal use.

Thermal pads from evga are lying around for quite sometime already lol. need to kill the lazy bug and go fix them on and reapply thermal paste to arctic silver 5
