With an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, the Pixel 8 Pro could compete with other similarly-priced flagships. It's unclear whether this feature would also arrive in the smaller, cheaper Pixel 8.

This year Pixel 7 retained same ultrawide as previous model ( not much wider than main cam )

You may get your wish if there is a ultra variant.
But i doubt you will reap any benefit unless you shoot in jpg+raw.

It might not be exciting for you, but it's just as important as ever for google to improve their h/w

My number 1 wishlist item is for Google to use TSMC fabs instead of Samsung's. That alone will bring massive effiencies than anything else. But I know that's not gonna happen any time soon

Media hype up the selling point. the differentiating factor between pixel and other brands is the focus on camera quality and the clean android experience

Now chip supply free up liao maybe google jumping in to cut a deal with TSMC liao.

One can only hope lol. For me other than the chip efficiency, I also hope for faster battery charging tech.

Goes hand in hand with long battery life to ensure your phone is ready to go 24/7.
