Google Pixel watch 3 LTE eSim data question

Hi, I would like to get Google Pixel watch and enabling the LTE function via eSim. Is it a must to use Singtel Number share?

Only Singtel support?

If I get eSim from Simba or other Virtual Telco or data only plan. Does it work?

I don't need phone call. Just data for WhatsApp purposes.

Should be pretty similar to Apple Watches where only the big 3 MNOs - ST/SH/M1 supports this feature.
Doubt will work as not supported.
