There are plenty of good quad core tablets available on the market right now.

Such as the Asus T100HA detachable tablet / netbook $399 - Intel core atom x5

Not to say that this isn't good. A lot of kickstarters over promise and under deliver. Sometimes not deliver.
Specifications are impressive though it may be subjected to change and feature sets not finalised.

Hmm, it is refreshing cause it is an unknown brand with an interesting umpc form factor concept!

Though you might have to bear in mind of the risks involved in such backings - many case studies on it as well as warranty and parts support!

Ok thanks bro, :)

Hi, i'm also interested in this, and this company has delivered on an earlier product in Indiegogo called the GPD WIN which is an actual PC in a Nintendo 3DS form factor. Linus gave it quite a good score.

What i'm concerned is the charger packaged is a
5V/2.5A American Charger which i assume looks like this?

Can we still buy a Universal Travel Adaptor and plug it into our Singapore 3PIN plug powerpoint? Will it blow up ? lol~ :s13:

Look at the input range. Faintly made up in the image that it is 110 to 240v :)
Should be fine. Or you can simply req a UK plug

Looks underpowered to me that though it may be good for light games and usage.

Anyway, it almost looks like we are going back in the days of the PDA form factor.

If your purpose is to play games, I think more worth it to buy a Vita ($250 before qoo10 discounts)and homebrew it or use dualshock 4 and play PSP games on android phone. There are more games which plays well compared to buying GDP Win.

Going for SGD585 and even lower if the coupon code HOUSELIFE1015 is still valid.

GPD Pocket 7.0 inch Mini Laptop Windows 10 Intel Atom X7-Z8750 Quad Core 1.6GHz 8GB RAM 128GB eMMC Dual WiFi OTG HDMI Bluetooth 4.1 - intl

Over the months with reviews, mods, linux installs, etc the GPD Pocket have proven to be a capable road warrior's machine :)

The version shipping now I believe are mostly 2nd Gen. Although from discussions, nobody can seem to pinpoint how do you differentiate with the 1st gen. Most probably minor adjustments that made a lot of difference.

It is still only catered to a certain niche group only.

From what I see maybe for;

* people running industrial strength software but only using pc once in a while outdoors

* people who love doing work/studies in tight spaces like long journey in packed trains

* people who hardly use pc at all but need it once in a while

* constant leisure travellers

* love or have to be on pc standing up

The price above is the lowest I've seen.... it was about that price on Banggood (with additional discount code) when it was newly listed but I guess with rising initial demand, the price have went up to over 700.

Hope this helps!
