The standard of Tai Wah BCM with multiple outlets is not very consistent compared to the original Tai Hwa BCM in Crawford Lane.
Both Tai Wah BCM outlets at Hougang Green and Blk 107 Hougang Ave 1 suffered badly from quality control issues. Their fried sole fish (Tee Poh) were chewy instead of crispy at least 50% of the time; Pork lard wasn’t fresh and crispy in a quite few occasions; Soup was sometimes bland but perfect on other occasions; Tenderness of liver was perfect in about a half of the time but tough and overcooked for the remaining visits. So getting a well prepared bowl of BCM at these two outlets was like having only a 1-in-3 to 1-in-4 chance. Wasn’t surprised that both outlets were permanently closed
